YES!  The thrilling noir The Widow is NOW AVAILABLE for Pre-Order! What that actually means is that I have submitted the FINAL version to the publisher, so I am officially done! (Well, I still have to approve the proof of the print edition, but I'm sure it will be fine....I hope...) It will be released in print and eBook August 5th. Available NOW for Pre-Order on Kindle , Nook , and other eBook formats , and in hardback at a Special Pre-Sale Price . But I know you want something to read NOW, so I have reduced the price of the eBooks of my Pride and Prejudice adaptations just until The Widow is released on August 5th . Pulse and Prejudice is only $2.99 and The Proud and the Prejudiced is half price at $1.49! Now back to coming attractions... Above I have a phote from a scene from the classic Hitchcock film Notorious , which is one of my favourite films of all time and is partly the inspiration for The Widow (or the second half at least); however, instead o

Our Sexy Woman! Excerpt from THE WIDOW Romantic Noir Suspense for My Sexy Saturday

Image
Greetings, and welcome to a NEW My Sexy Saturday! This week’s theme is Our Sexy Woman! " This week’s theme is My Sexy Woman. Yes, this is our nod to the heroines. You all know what make them sexy and wonderful. Need we say more!" Wow - Could the timing for this week's theme be any more perfect, with The Widow available for Pre-Order this week! It's almost as coincidental as last week's escape of Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, who was the inspiration for the drug lord Ignacio "El Ratón" Martinez in The Widow . The Widow is a noir thriller, and in classic noir style, Catherine is troubled, disillusioned, self-destructive. Here is a short excerpt - just six sentences - about our heroine Catherine and why David might be willing to risk a multi-million dollar DEA operation, or even his life, for her.... David knew he was staring, but he couldn’t tear his gaze away, desperate for something else to say, some other excuse to keep him there

Can you believe it is already the 100th My Sexy Saturday ?  I wish I could say I have participated from the beginning and had posted 100 Saturday snippets, but that whole life/career/dreams balance thing always gets in the way. Before I get on with this week's snippet, I want to be sure that you caught the Cover Reveal yesterday for my upcoming the romantic noir thriller The Widow ! It will be released on August 5th , but it will be available for pre-sale on July 22nd. This is the beautiful creation of the talented Dawné Dominique of Dusk til Dawn Designs , so if you missed it, please check it out here . Now on to this week's excerpt.  I decided to take the theme literally . In my modern take on Pride and Prejudice, New Orleans is the equivalent as Kent. (Well, if Hollywood is Hertfordshire, why not?) Throughout the time that Alice and Peter (my 21st Century Elizabeth and Darcy -- don't ask...) are there, Alice is hot and miserable and constantly complainin

I am so excited to reveal the cover to my new novel, the romantic noir thriller The Widow ! What do you think?  It will be released on August 5th , but it will be available for pre-sale on July 22nd. Plus a week after its release, I will be at Authors After Dark  in Atlanta and signing beautiful hardback editions on Saturday the 15th! This is the beautiful creation of the talented Dawné Dominique of Dusk til Dawn Designs , whom I now consider my own personal cover artist! “When truth is buried underground it grows, it chokes, it gathers such an explosive force that on the day it bursts out, it blows up everything with it.”   – Émile Zola,   J’accuse In this thrilling romantic noir suspense, DEA agent David Alvarez invested four years in deep undercover infiltrating the ruthless Sonora Drug Cartel only to have his primary target gunned down by a rival gang. Now his only hope in salvaging the operation and bringing the largest drug trafficker in the world to justice lies w
