Greetings, dear readers!   Hot off the press! Saturday, March 21st, 2015, is the official release of the paperback edition of The Proud and the Prejudiced: A Modern Twist on Pride and Prejudice . This is in conjunction with The Jane Austen Literary Festival in Mandeville, Louisiana, where I will be signing it as well as Pulse and Prejudice and a few other books, too. The Festival has a full schedule of events both Saturday and Sunday, including a Regency dance on Saturday evening and both brunch and a Regency cake and champagne reception. Also, on Sunday at 3:00, I will be speaking on a panel with fellow Austen Variation Authors Maria Grace and Jack Caldwell !   If you can't make it to the festival, you can order your copy today! In addition to eBook formats, the print editions also available from Amazon and Barnes & Noble , or ask for it at your favorite book store! Hope to see you this weekend! ~Colette

Kiss Me Once, Kiss Me Twice... Excerpt from The Proud and the Prejudice for My Sexy Saturday

Image
Welcome to My Sexy Saturday! After the last two weeks revisiting Pulse and Prejudice with excerpts from the story of Mr. Darcy, vampire , this week's theme allows me to present another sample from my modern twist on Pride and Prejudice - The Proud and the Prejudiced .  "Remember the song that has the lyric ‘Kiss me once and kiss me twice and kiss me once again, it’s been a long, long time”? Yeah, the rest of the parts will come at different times this year....It could be something involving new lovers, or how about old lovers being reunited after being apart." After being apart following the cast party (a/k/a the "Netherfield Ball" scene from Pride and Prejudice ) Peter and Alice are reunited....and it feels so good..

I must confess, I have been a huge fan of hers since I first knew of such a thing as Pride and Prejudice variations; and she warmly welcomed me into the family. (That's right, you have her to blame for my contributions to the sub-genre!) I have read and re-read her variations until I am in a fair way of soon knowing them by heart! And she is probably regretting ever giving me her contact information since I keep harassing her for a new release for my JAFF obsession! Fortunately, for my sanity (and I use the term loosely), she and four other fellow Austen Variations Authors have provided us with a delicious treat: The Darcy Brothers ! When I learned that this amazing collaborative effort was being released, I couldn't wait to jump on the
