Ask Doctor Charley

Question: Hi Dr. Charley, I've been married awhile, but I really like giving my
husband BJs. When I'm with other wives, they always complain about it like it's a chore, and I once read that no woman really likes to give BJs. So why do I like it?
The other problem is that giving him so many BJs gives me TMJ - LOL! Is there something I can do so doing it doesn't mess up my jaw?

Answer:   There’s nothing wrong with your desire to give your husband a blow job—oral sex. As with anything else in life, desire to do so is key. So many women enjoy fellatio; others don’t. The key is to want to do it.

Yes, often the semen doesn’t taste great; however, there are a few products on the market to help mask the taste; and of course, you could always bring your lover to the point of ejaculation and capture it with your hand, have him mark your body with it, or let him release into a towel.

TMJ…well that comes with the territory. Chuckles. To alleviate any discomfort, it’s all about the practice. You can take two aspirins before time as well to alleviate any discomfort. (Not prescribing medication here just noting what you’d do anytime you have minor discomfort with muscles.)

Question: Hi Dr. Charley, Is there really such a thing as female ejaculation? A couple of friends have said it has happened to them and how much better it is than just cumming. I don't think I could cum any harder! and if that happened to me, I would be afraid I had just peed on myself!

Answer:  Yes, there is such a thing as Female Ejaculation, however not all women experience it and even those that do, do not experience it all the time. Additionally, some women enjoy the sensation and others don’t.

Female ejaculation often occurs due to a simulation of the G-spot. You might experience the brief sensation of needing to urinate; however, the ejaculate that the body produces is not urine. The ejaculate can range from a tablespoon of fluid to a ¼ cup. It varies. Female ejaculation can occur during certain sexual positions, thus again, making it random.

It can be a little embarrassing the first time it happens. Talk with your partner about it. If it happens often, keep a few extra towels or linen handy. Urinating before intercourse can help alleviate your anxiety and ensure that your bladder is empty.

Two great resources for information on this topic are: The G Spot: And Other Discoveries about Human Sexuality by Alice Khan Ladas, Beverly Whipple, and John D. Perry; and my book The W.I.S.E. Journal for the Sensual Woman which is geared to provide you with the insight and comfort you need with your own body.

Here is a sample of the other questions Doctor Charley will answer during the Live Chat tonight:

Question: Can you really get throat cancer from oral sex like Michael Douglas claimed?

Question: I saw you describe yourself as a Domme. What made you decide to become a Domme?
Hitler was a sexual submissive. What would you have done to him if you had the chance?

Question: Why are some men so interested in having anal sex?

and many more.....
