Only 2 Months Remain to Enter the PULSE AND PREJUDICE Pop Culture Challenge! Plus a 3rd Clue!

Image
Time is Running Out to Win an iPad4 PLUS a Cash Jackpot! Strewn about the prose of Pulse and Prejudice - the paranormal adaptation Jane Austen's classic, which retells the story from Mr. Darcy's point of view as a vampire - you will find references to film, music, and literature I have enjoyed over the years, all of which are listed on the Acknowledgements page. Ever since Pulse and Prejudice was published last year, readers have excitedly told me the ones they have found and prodded relentlessly to reveal all of the pop culture allusions hidden throughout my novel like Easter eggs. I am prepared to do so; however, in honour of the 200th Anniversary of Pride and Prejudice , I thought it might be fun to give you , dear readers, the opportunity to find them first. Hence, at the beginning of the year, in conjunction with Secret Cravings Publishing , we launched:   The Pulse and Prejudice Pop Culture Challenge! The rules of the contest are simple: Find the most pop

With deepest apologies, I must confess:  I have been a terrible blogger lately!  I spent the last two weeks on the road at the Romance Novel Convention and Authors After Dark and stupidly thought I could blog while traveling. Obviously, it didn't happen! (I did a little write-up on the conferences for Austen Authors here if you're interested.) Thus, without further ado: The winners in my giveaway for the Love, Lust, and Lipstick Stains Blog Hop are K. April and Laurie (selected by Random.org). Image
Good morning, dear readers!  If you look at my Coming for Coffee calendar there are the right, you will see that I won't be having any guests for a few weeks. How can I have callers when I will be out of town? First for the Romance Novel Convention in Las Vegas, and then next week I leave for Authors After Dark in Savannah! If you will be at either of these events, be sure to come and say hi! So since this will be my last visitor for a while, I had to have an extra special guest for you! I became acquainted with Evelyn Pryce when we were both selected as semi-finalists in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards, but she had the good fortune - and the great novel! - to go on to the finals! If you love a good Regency romance, you won't find one better than A Man Above Reproach ! She joins me today to talk about slang she uses in her novel - all in keeping with the early 19th Century.  Ahhhh....historical accuracy!  Be still my heart! ~Colette    The Taradiddle about th
